What we are doing in our business as COVID-19 has us shut down

By Adrian Cavlan

Just wanted to give you all a quick update as we navigate this crisis in our business. It is obviously a very difficult situation for us all, and surviving it from both a health and a prosperity/viability standpoint are real concerns for everyone.

Here are some of the things we are doing:

1) We are in contact with all of our clients who have been or, in our best current estimation, may become affected by this shutdown with regard to their event date as scheduled. We are diligently helping them plan what to do next and are, without prejudice, simply transferring all of their already paid reservation fees toward their new event date, even if that date has not yet been determined.

2) We have been in contact with our staff to try to help them navigate these very unfamiliar waters. It has been especially challenging as federal and state programs and guidelines have been added and changed on a daily basis. It has left us all a bit shell shocked and confused, but we are continuing to navigate it the best we can with ONE goal in mind: to be able to make it through and continue to do the work we love for the wonderful people we serve.

3) In that same interest of “living to fight another day”, we are working with all of our suppliers to put plans into place that will allow us to go into something of a “hibernation mode” to conserve resources and allow us for a significant period of downtime.

4) We are working hard to try to understand not only where things are (in crisis mode), but, just as much, where things are going (i.e. after the crisis subsides, what will our clients and staff need from us with regard to services, contract terms, etc). We are ON IT and will be ready to resume as soon as it is appropriate to do so.

In the meantime - here’s an invitation:

If you are a friend or a fan of our company, or perhaps a client for whom we have have made a positive impact in any way, we would love to hear from you : ) Please - reach out with a call or email, message us on Facebook, or maybe even leave a nice online review at Yelp or Wedding Wire if you feel like it.

Thanks for loving us all of these years. It means more than ever now that we’ve all had a second to stop and catch our breath.

With much gratitude and warm wishes for your good health -

Adrian, Raffi, Shawn, Karen & the Sound In Motion family
