Jose Martinez

Jose Martinez has been a music enthusiast for decades, in roles of DJ, MC, music reviewer, promoter, and event producer.

The entry into entertaining live audiences was launched while a student at Santa Clara University, where Jose served as coordinator of Dance Trax on KSCU, the university radio station’s dance music programming on Sunday nights.  In a relatively short time, the program and its trio of DJs became the most listened to show on the radio station.

As the years passed, Jose ventured into weddings and private event production, culminating in the production of the massive 5 de Mayo and 16 de Septiembre music festivals that reigned king in San Jose for decades, attracting as many as 250,000 attendees. This opened doors to venture into a partnership promoting the legendary Oasis nightclub in downtown San Jose.  

Jose’s music knowledge was tapped when he was recruited to serve as a reviewer for Dance Music Authority, an international DJ magazine that was prominent in the 90s.  

Never losing touch with the emotional impact music can create, Jose continues to receive rave reviews as a wedding DJ and a popular bar DJ in San Jose.  His easy going and confident personality puts clients at ease because they quickly learn they are working with a professional whose goal is to make their event as special as possible.
