Matthew Cope
Matthew Cope is a veteran entertainer who is a truly talented professional and has a deep care for the ‘art of the celebration.’ Having been a DJ since 1999, Matthew has performed at and helped produce a wide variety of events starting with college and house parties all over the Bay Area working up to large corporate events, weddings and high end celebrations.
Matthew has a true passion for music as well. Armed with an understanding that each celebration is unique in character, he uses his musical knowledge to help customize the “soundtrack” for each event.
He realizes that the music must flow seamlessly from beginning until end, making the choices for background music just as important as the dance music. “A true prefossional entertainer will know how to approach each situation and apply top-notch skills and talent with experience to produce the best outcome for his or her clients.”
Being an entertainner originated as merely a part-time DJ job for Matthew, during which time he earned his Bachelor degree in Philosophy and Communications at Sacramento State University and even began a career as a teacher, but found his true love to be helping create spectacular celebrations. As a Master of Ceremonies Matthew can command a crowd from 20 to 2000, and he is not a ‘standard’ DJ by any means. For him, “A good DJ is always in tune with the crowd and able to adapt and have fun with them!”
