Your Name: Katrina Smith

What made you decide to get in the event business? I started working events when I was going to college to become a teacher. I loved working the events, helping put them together, execute the clients ideas, etc. that when the opportunity arose from me to do this full time I jump at the opportunity.

What is one “little known fact” about you that you’d like to share? Fun fact, I showed dairy cows from age 8 till I was 18.

Do you remember your first event? What was it? Tell us the story!: My first event was a holiday party. Group of 60 people. I was so nervous I was opening a bottle of champagne and the cork popped out of my hand and flew right past the clients face. I was mortified. But the client just looked at me and said “now this party is poppin.” 

What makes your venue special for people having weddings? The beautiful atmosphere Guglielmo is surrounded by is why brides and grooms love Guglielmo Winery.

Does your venue also do other events (i.e. social, corporate, etc)? Yes! We host corporate events, birthday parties, anniversary parties, graduations parties, movie nights, concerts, etc.
