Wedding Entertainment Beyond The DJ

By King Raffi - This past weekend I did a wedding reception at Palo Alto Hills Golf & Country Club.

The bride and groom lived out of the area and ALL the planning was done by the parents of the groom. The brides family lives in Minnesota, so they had done the ceremony and a reception there as well.

The groom and his family are of Indian descent and many of their friends are in the Bay Area. The parents wanted the reception to have more than just a DJ to keep the crowd entertained. The bride and groom knew of a photo montage but had no idea of the surprise video highlights of the actual Indian ceremony that took place back in Minnesota. The guests loved it and so did the bride and groom. They did add one more very interesting element to the evening by hiring Los Lupenos De San Jose. They performed traditional Mexican dances for 20 minutes. This added something a fantastic dimension to the evening and the guests loved it! I encourage you to step outside the box when it comes to planning your wedding day. Think of things that will make your wedding day stand out just a little more. Talk to us about ideas that can make your wedding a lot of fun without being too cheesy. :)
