Where did you grow up?

Santa Barbara, Ca

What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today?

If you want something to happen - visualize it! Imagine it and picture it the way you dream it to be. Life is a full-filling prophecy.

What were some of your favorite songs in Junior High and High School?  Include any embarrassing songs!

Was, and still am into 90's rock and alt! I'm not embarrassed by any of these, and still listen to them frequently!!! Semi-Charmed Life (Third Eye Blind), Buddy Holly (Weezer), Let her Cry (Hootie and the Blowfish), 1979 (Smashing Pumpkins), Wonderwall (Oasis)... just to name a few. If you want a bit more obscure: Dream (Forrest for the Trees), Van Halen (Nerf Herder), Lump (P.U.S.A.). I was also super into ska and 'pop punk'. Anything from Rancid, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, etc...

If I were to jump in your car today, what would we be listening to?

Depends on the drive. I like some of the steady rhythms you find in artists like poolside, hot chip, cut copy, etc for longer drives. I also enjoy bluesy, guitar driven Americana like Mason Jennings, Ray LaMontagne, and Brett Dennen... Really my spotify account is ALL over the place. Everything from Neil Young to Mac Dre to Roy Orbison to Belle and Sebastian to Katy Perry. I love the 'explore artist radio' feature for exploring similar tracks and discovering new artists.

If you could be the lead singer of any band, who would it be?  

I feel like Dave Grohl has the rock star thing pretty well figured out.

What is your favorite food establishment and what is your GO TO meal there?

Monkey Pod Kitchen in Ko Olina, Oahu. Mai Tai and an hearty appetizer spread including: Poke, Lobster Ravioli, Deviled Eggs, Sweet Potato fries. Then a second Mai Tai, rinse, repeat.
